Bonus Giveaway: Craft & Design as a Career Seminar

What you get: a free pass to Craft and Design as a Career.

It’s a day-long seminar  organised by Craft Victoria as part of the Craft Cubed 2012 festival. The Thousands (thank you, you beautiful, beautiful, people, I am ever so grateful) ran a giveaway for a double pass to the event. Which I won.

The Meat: if you’re reading this in Melbourne, Victoria (or the surrounds or any place from where you can get to the venue on time) I would love to have you attend as my +1. This is my way of saying thank you for participating here. If you can make it, please leave a comment saying so. If there are multiple interested parties I will pick one. Please be sure you can actually attend; this seminar focuses on making a career from your makes so I want to gift it to someone that could really use that sort of expert guidance in their own journey towards successfully commercialising their craft.

Craft Victoria have requested the name and email details of my +1 (for ticket-sending + badge-making purposes) so please mention in your comment that you are fine with me passing your details along if you get chosen. I will inform Craft Victoria (or rather, their representative) of my choice tomorrow morning so you have approximately 12 hours to enter. I’m giving up paid work to attend this seminar so fingers crossed that it turns out to be as awesome as it looks.

The seminar (Facebook link here) runs 9 AM to 4 PM on Thursday the 16th of August, 2012 and includes morning tea and a gift bag. Obviously, getting to spend the day with yours truly is an added bonus.

Wanna be my +1?

  1. It sounds fabulous. I would totally come were I planning to become an entrepreneur (I’m not) and didn’t have to work on thursday (I do). I hope you get a lot out of it! Are you coming on our fabric shopping expedition on saturday afternoon?

    • Yes I will definitely stop by! Am thinking to bring a propah camer and tripod to set up for timed pics so everyone can have photos for their blog with themselves in the photo XD

      • Excellent! I shall look forward to meeting you :) Sounds like a grand idea… I was tossing up bringing mine but that would mean less carrying space for fabric. You know how it is.

  2. ooooooooo I could almost do this. But it is a little bit too late to give notice for work. I am sure there is someone else out there who would benefit from this more than me as I’m not about to give up my day job and become a crafter in the near future. If you don’t get any takers let me know and I will see if I can get the day off. I hope you can share some tips from the seminar!

How's it going? If you've got a question please read the post first.
