Patterns and Postcards Part IV

Contemporary Envelope Patterns

Click on the image to access a Thinglink tagged version with links to more information on each pattern. All patterns are complete unless otherwise mentioned.

Things I’m looking for:

Patterns magazines and books –  Knipmode Magazines (May 2006, August 2007, October 2007, February 2008 and August 2010), back issues of Burda, Patrones and La Mia Boutique magazines, Japanese sewing books.

Envelope patterns – Vogue Designer/ Courturier patterns and patterns for knit fabric garments (especially Jalie/ Hot Patterns) sizes 4-10 depending on the manufacturer. Rachel Comey/ Cynthia Rowley patterns.

If you have something you’d like to swap for one or more of these contact me via the comments or the contact link above. More swapables (Pattern magazines, Traced patterns, and vintage + contemporary envelope patterns) + swap guidelines and full list of participating blogs here.

  1. that medieval costume has me in fits of giggles!! Did you have an event in mind when you acquired that one…? I’d love to know :) I would totally swap you for Vogue 7937… but I bought it about a week ago! Gah!

    • I bought it to mess with Carl. I secretly made up the Simplicity LOTR one for Carl’s costume for a friend’s ren-faire b’day last year (but I only showed Carl the Medieval envelope so he was on tenterhooks for two weeks) XD. He was so thrilled when he saw the finished LOTR costume (not only because it was awesome but that because it wasn’t the Medieval one XD). Anyway I was clearing up the other day and he saw the Medieval one and freaked out -”What are you doing with that? Why is it out? I don’t need a costume! etc”. So I’m getting rid of it. Although I’d love to keep it for sentimental reasons (and to take it out once a year and leave it lying around near some of his laundry so he sees it and freaks). XD

  2. I’m observing this swap this time. What a shame I don’t have patterns for the swap (because I always draft patterns…you know). I just hope all participants will have fun fun!

  3. Darn you woman, *now* you bring out the Easy Vogue bait! :D
Good job I’m at the other end of the sizing spectrum or I would be turning the sewing room around to find something to offer you. You have great taste and I am sure those will go to a good home. :)

    • hahaha blame the rental agent, she only came over today for the inspection so in the hurry for last minute cleanup I got onto scanning the remainder of the patterns. Just use this as an opportunity to sort out all the stuff you’re not going to use. Someone’s going to want it for sure. If not, you’ve got the photos ready for ebaying in October XD BTW ebay are having a refurbish in Oct so there should be good free listing deals.

  4. Oh I’d love that Project Runway one, I almost bought that last week. I’ve still got to get some patterns online – tomorrow morning hopefully. I do have Simplicity 1880 Project Runway to list?

    • Oh cool. I’ll check that out when it goes up. I don’t need any more shirt dresses at the moment, things I am looking for in envelope patterns: Vogue Designer/ Courturier patterns and patterns for knit fabric garments (especially Jalie/ Hot Patterns) sizes 4-10 depending on the manufacturer. Rachel Comey/ Cynthia Rowley.

  5. Hey, I don’t know if you can offer a swap without being in the swap. I don’t have a blog. But, I do have V1247 (the rachel comey v-neck top) and/or a bunch of original folkwear patterns http://www.folkwear.com/ and I’d love to swap for the stylearc twiggy dress. erika dot samoff at gmail.

    • Yesyesyes you totally can. You don’t need to have a blog or anything just let me know what you have up for swap (or link it somehow) and what you’d like to swap for it. The Twiggy is on hold for ya. And yesyes to the Rachel Comey.

How's it going? If you've got a question please read the post first.
